Governor Samuel Ortom who congratulated his boys for their awesome victory, has described the win over Gor Mahia Football Club of Kenya as uncommon determination and true professionalism.
The Governor who went ahead to commend the players and management of Lobi Stars for rising from the 1-3 defeat in the first leg to beat the Kenyan champions by two goals to nil to qualify for the group stage of the competition.
He urges the team to sustain their current drive, focus, energy and confidence in subsequent matches to be able to win the CAF Champions League trophy for the people of Benue state.
Governor Ortom, on behalf of the government and the people of Benue State, thanked the football fans in Enugu and neighbouring states for coming all out in their numbers to cheer Lobi Stars to victory.
