Nigeria National Champions, Kano Pillars, have begun their campaign in the maiden edition of Governor Dapo Abiodun’s Preseason Cup with a winning note after overcoming a tactical discipline MFM FC side by a goal to nil on Wednesday as reported by the club’s media officer, Rulwanu Idris Malikawa Garu.
Enterprising Auwalu Ali Malam scored the only goal of the encounter during the first 45 minutes and subsequently got them the maximum points.
After the match, Kano Pillars technical adviser, Ibrahim A. Musa commended his Boys and charged them to tighten their belts and take the ongoing Governor Dapo Abiodun’s preseason cup as a stepping stone for the forthcoming 2019/2020 NPFL season.
He thanked the management under the able leadership of Alhaji Surajo Shuaibu Yahaya forgiven the squad the opportunity to participate in the tournament.
On his part, the goalscorer of the match, Auwalu Ali aka Malam action thanked Almighty Allah for giving him the courage to scored the goal and dedicated it to his teammates and technical crew as well as the entire fans of the club.
Auwalu vowed to continue working tirelessly to write his name in gold by leading the Pyramid City side to clinch the 2019/2020 NPFL title.
