The General Manager, Mighty Jets International Football Club of Jos, Mbum Ferdinand, has revealed that the government of Plateau State is not leaving any stone unturned in a bid to put an end to the internal wranglings that have been rocking the club over the years.
The General Manager stated this when he featured as a guest on a live radio programme, “Good Morning Plateau”‘ on Peace 90.5 FM, of the Plateau Radio Television Corporation, PRTVC Jos.
According to Ferdinand, “In the next couple of days, members of the public will be made to understand the concrete and healthy steps the government has taken to curb the internal wranglings that have rocked the foundation of the club over the years.”
Recall that on Wednesday last week, the Management of the club released a press statement, ordering the immediate suspension of all first team training engagements sequel to a number of concerns the club is currently resolving.
However, the management has issued a statement on the resumption of first team training with effect from Monday, 18th September, 2023, following a meeting convened by the General Manager and other management staff of the club on Sunday.
Mr. Ferdinand commended the efforts of coach Bernard Ogbe so far and revealed that in a couple of weeks the final squad will be drafted and pre-season friendly matches will commence.
He noted that one of the major achievements made at the club in the last two months is the discovery of very young talents for the club.
The General Manager concluded by acknowledging some great icons of the club to include Sule Kekere of blessed memory, Gabriel Babalola, Sam Garba Okoye of blessed memory, Lawandi Datti who is the father of the current commissioner of Youths and Sports in Plateau State, Bashir Lawandi Datti, among others.
