According to the former Nigeria U-17 and U-20 Head Coach, the unreserved support of the number one citizen of Abia State, His Excellency, Governor Alex Chioma Otti, has been the driving force propelling the Warriors. Coach Obuh while speaking with the club’s media after the game against Bayelsa United at the Umuahia Township last Saturday, was unequivocal on his assertion.
“…he has been very, very supportive to us, irrespective of whatever that happens, he has been very, very supportive. His support has been inspiring us, and that is why we are where we are and doing what we are doing”.
The club supremo also seized the moment to appeal to the club’s teeming supporters for more support, and urged them to keep faith with the team as they navigate the crucibles of the ongoing season.
“I still want to tell them to continue to give us the support. That is, when it is good and when it is bad, their support is very important. I thank them thus far for the one they are doing, but they need to add more.”
On the victory over Ladan Bosso tutored Bayelsa United, Coach Obuh commended the Warriors for showing character as they grabbed all the points at stake. The victory ensured they did a double over The Prosperity Boys, having won by the same margin during the first leg in Yenagoa last month.
