Ekiti state football association and the community have been in celebration mood over the appointment of one of its patron, Hon. Akintunde Oyebode as the commissioner for Finance and Economic development by Ekiti State Governor, Dr John Kayode Fayemi.
Ekiti FA Chairman, Bayo Olanlege lauded Governor Fayemi for appointing Oyebode into his executive cabinet saying it’s a round peg in a round hole.
” On behalf of Ekiti football association, the stakeholders and all lovers of the beautiful game in this state, we congratulate Hon. Oyebode, on his well-deserved appointment. Importantly, too, we commend His Excellency, Gov. John Kayode Fayemi over the appointment which is, indeed, putting a round peg in a round hole,” he said.
Oyebode who is the Patron of Ekiti State FA cadet teams and Ikole football council was before his appointment the Special Adviser to the Governor on Trade, Innovation, and Investment.
In another development, the FA has confirmed the appointment of Voice FM on-air personality Olutomi Adeoye, as the Coordinator of the Ekiti State FA U-17 female team.
