Sodiq “Golden Boy” Oyakojo remains undefeated after beating hometown favourite and Nigeria ranked number nine in the lightweight division, Azeez “Latest” Ayobami by majority decision in the GOTv fight night that took place at the Liberty Stadium on Saturday, 4th June, 2022.
Oyakojo performance shows that he is an improved boxer and increase his professional record to (2-0) 1 KO, despite being a last minute replacement for Alaba “Elibow” Omotola who was earlier billed to fight Azeez but the deal fall through due to failure of parties involved to secure an agreement.
However, Omotola who was named the 2019 Best Boxer by GOTv in Nigeria is expected back into the ring, with the card expected to bring many top boxers in the country together on July 2, 2022 at Alake Sports Complex in Abeokuta, Ogun state.
