Super Falcons’ Onome Ebi has expressed her support for Barcelona Ladies forward, Asisat Oshoala ahead of UEFA Women’s Champions League final with Lyon on Saturday evening in Budapest.
Henan Huishang center-back Ebi took to her Instagram page to back national teammate Oshoala who became the first Nigerian to qualify for the competition’s final.
“Good luck to our very own @asisat_oshoala. Champions league final mehn it’s not easy oh, the highest stage in women’s football after the World Cup. Proud of you girl, go and shine the Lord is your strength. @fcbfemeni @asisat_oshoala.” Ebi posted.
Oshoala was instrumental as Barcelona Ladies beat Bayern Munich in the semifinal to reach the women’s European competition final for the first time.
The 24-year old former African Women Player of the Year has scored seven goals in six league (Liga Iberdrola) appearances for the club this season.
On the international scene, Oshoala was named in Thomas Dennerby’s side ahead of The 8th FIFA Women’s World Cup finals taking place in France from 7th June to 7th July, 2019.
