Gombe Bulls basketball club have threatened fresh action against Nigeria Basketball Federation (NBBF), over what they insists is their mandate to represent the country at the ongoing FIBA Africa Zone 3 qualifiers.
Chairman of the club, Ibrahim Gimba emphasised in an interview with sports247.ng that Gombe Bulls are not done yet with the decision of the NBBF to nullify their mandate alongside Kwara Falcons.
Gimba said they are aggrieved, after both side emerged as first and second respectively in a league organsied by the Tijani Umar faction of NBBF, which he insists should have qualified them to represent Nigeria.
However, with the FIBA Africa zonal qualifiers ongoing and Nigeria is being represented by Rivers Hoopers and Civil Defenders, Gimba is crying foul.
Gimba stressed: “We will fight the case to a logical end notwithstanding the ongoing qualifiers in Benin Republic.”
