In other notable matches, Holy Arrow FC secured a convincing 3-0 win against Great Avengers, while Champion Cathedral dominated Ichofe Wonderers FC with three unanswered goals, positioning themselves strongly for a spot in the quarter-finals.
In the Under-13 category, Great Avengers showcased their prowess with a 4-0 triumph over Successful Pillars, while Golden Friends FC prevailed over Moraks FC.
Great Starts made a powerful statement by overwhelming Orion FC 6-1, marking an impressive start to their championship journey. Delta Warriors faced defeat against Valencia FC in another Under-13 category clash.
The tournament, sponsored by the renowned Victor Ikpeba, witnessed the former African Footballer of the Year and Olympic Gold medalist expressing his delight at the high standard of play displayed by all participating teams.
Ikpeba commended the players’ enthusiasm and noted the potential for discovering new talent in the third edition of the Five-A-Side annual competition.

The champions of the Under-17 category in the Victor Ikpeba Football Challenge stand to receive a cash prize of N250,000, with N125,000 for the second-place team, N100,000 for the third-place team, and N75,000 for the fourth-place team.
