Nigeria’s U-17 national team, the Golden Eaglets will jet out to Ghana tomorrow ahead 2022 West African Football Union (WAFU B) U17 tournament.
According to BSN, The Secretary-General of Nigeria Football Federation (NFF), Sanusi Mohammed, said the five-time World champions, Golden Eaglets will travel to Ghana by air.
“They are scheduled to travel on Wednesday inshaa Allah. And they are going by Air by God’s grace.”
The Golden Eaglets will have just two days to get used to the atmosphere in Ghana as the competition begins this Saturday.
The team has been camping since the first week of April when more than a hundred players were screened for the 25-man squad to play in Ghana.
The Golden Eaglets will play hosts, Ghana and Togo in Group A.
The tournament will be played from Saturday, June 11 to Friday, June 24, 2022, and will serve as a qualifier for the U-17 Africa Cup of Nations where twelve teams will converge in Algeria to slug it out for four tickets to represent Africa at the FIFA U17 World Cup.
