He affirmed that it will be part of his preparations for Tanzania 2019, which will hold from 14th to 28th of April, where he hopes Nigeria will show the form that saw them win the world title in 1985, 1993, 2007, 2013 and 2015.

Garba’s boys won the 2018 WAFU U17 Tournament in Niger Republic to qualify for the continental finals in Tanzania, following an adjustment to the format of the qualifiers.

They will play in Group A alongside hosts Tanzania, Angola and Uganda, while Group B has Guinea, Cameroon, Morocco and Senegal, with all four semi finalists guaranteed places at the FIFA U-17 World Cup.

Garba, a former international, who led the team to global triumph in the UAE six years ago, assured that the Eaglets will make Nigerians proud.

He retorted: “My players have imbibed the mentality of champions and are ready to make Nigeria proud without any form of overconfidence.

“We will prepare very well to conquer from our group in Tanzania, in order to qualify for the FIFA U17 World Cup finals coming up in Peru.”
