Golden Eaglets Captain representatives demands too ridiculous says European clubs

It has come to light that Golden Eaglets captain Samson Tijani rejected a move to a top Danish Superliga club before the U17 Africa Cup of Nations in Tanzania.

The Danish club made an offer to Collins Edwin Sports Club worth 600,000 euros to sign the central midfielder but the transfer fee was deemed insufficient by the Nigerian club.

Tijani’s camp had demanded one million euros (approximately N390 million) for the deal to go through and asked for the transfer fee to be paid in one fell swoop and not in installments.

French-based agent Olivier Noah of Noga Sports Management Limited brought the deal that would have taken the player to Denmark in the summer of 2020.

The player’s biological father, Tijani Bashiru gave exclusive consents to several agents to represent the interest of his son as his intermediary and to negotiate with football clubs.

And because of the multiplicity of mandates, European clubs earlier interested in signing Tijani have thrown in the towel as they don’t know the authentic agent to deal with.

Tijani started all the matches played by Nigeria at the 2019 FIFA U17 World Cup, scoring twice against Hungary.
