Super Falcons and Edo Queens defender, Glory Ogbonna has declared that the team is in good shape ahead of their tournament’s opener on Thursday.
Glory is one of the 5 home-based players invited to the national team for the tournament by coach, Randy Waldrum.
Speaking with the Super Falcons media, the defender said the team is in good shape and in co-operation.
“The team is in good shape. Everyone is friendly, we are learning from one another, there’s co-operation in the team, the team is ready.”
“We are doing things together in love, getting to know each other and on the field, helping others.” She continued.
On how far the NWFL has come, the defender stressed that the league has grown.
“The league has grown and developed to the extent that it is now producing players that can represent and play in the national team. That is massive growth for us in the league.”
The super Falcons had 2 training sessions on Tuesday as they intensify preparations for the first game on Thursday at the ongoing Gold City Tournament in Turkey.
