Sunshine Stars player and former Super Eagles international, Godfrey Oboabona, has lauded the organizers of the Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) for the notable improvements seen in the league’s quality.
Oboabona, who joined Sunshine Stars during the last transfer window, expressed his satisfaction with the positive changes and enhancements witnessed in the league.

In his remarks, Oboabona highlighted the significant improvements in the league, particularly praising the strictness and professionalism of referees.
He stated, “The quality has been great now because of a lot of improvements in the league. The referees are very strict and conducive people. They try to improve in every area of their aspect and what they see and what they do.”
Furthermore, Oboabona acknowledged the commendable efforts of individual teams, emphasizing the strides they have made in terms of improvement.
He noted, “The quality of the teams individually which has been seen so far. There have been a lot of improvements in the teams individually. A lot of practice, a lot of correction all over.”
Reflecting on his experience, Oboabona expressed his amazement at witnessing these positive changes in Nigerian football.
He concluded, “It’s been amazing. It’s been great for me to see these kinds of things in Nigeria.”
