The flood gate of goals was opened in the first match when First Bank FC defeated Collins Edwins FC by 5-1 with Deji Alo and Issa Yusuf of First Bank FC scoring a brace each while Adebayo Opeyemi completed the list of goals scorers for the bankers.
The second match of the match day between FC Valiant and Crime Fighters produced five goals.
Crime Fighters edged the cagey affair by 3-2 with Elegalam Sixtus scoring both goals for FC Valiant to cap a brilliant individual performance but unfortunately ended on a losing side.
The ante was raised in the third game when Musa Akinfenwa of Real Sapphire FC was the hero.
The fleet footed right winger scored the first hat trick at the center to help his team demolish AS Racine by 5-2 .
Ayangba De Samson of Spartan FC took a cue from Musa as also a hat trick as Spartan FC defeated AlimCity FC by 6-1 in the fourth game of the game.
The last match of the day was a keenly contested one between Zenith Emperor FC and F8 Ballers as only three goals were scored.
F8 Ballers came from behind to defeat the Zenith Emperor by 2-1 to start the league on a winning note.
