In an exclusive interview with Sports247.NG, Osayi shared his thoughts on his remarkable form and success, attributing it to divine consistency.
When asked about maintaining his performance level compared to the previous season, Kingdom Osayi emphasized the role of faith in his journey, stating, “First thing, I would say it has been God from the onset. Because for you to be consistent in whatever thing you are doing, you have to be consistent with God. And so far so good, and God has been consistent in my life. I think that is my source. That is my secret. But really, I don’t really have much other than God being the secret.”
Osayi’s unique contribution to the team, with two assists to his name, left him understandably elated. He expressed his excitement, saying, “I feel so excited to have achieved this by having two assists in a game, it is so unbelievable. But yeah, it’s an honor to be the first to set this record. I’m so excited about it.”
Comparing this season to the previous one in the NPFL, Osayi acknowledged the differences and his approach to the evolving challenge, saying, “For me, I think it’s a work in progress. There is still room for improvement, no pressure. Just taking it each game at a time, that is the way I see it.

The last season is different from last season. I mean, playing against different oppositions, and we have a longer league. That’s 38 matches this season. Last season, we had just 16 games. For me, it’s just a work in progress. Just keep digging in as it comes.”
Osayi’s exceptional performances have not gone unnoticed, as he’s been named the goalkeeper of the week twice in just seven weeks. Reflecting on this accomplishment, he humbly credited divine grace, stating, “Being selected as the goalkeeper of the week twice in week 7.
It’s a result of God’s grace. Since I started playing in the NPFL, I have only been nominated once in the past four seasons. This shows that we have had a talented goalkeeper in the league.
So for me, it’s a privilege, which I can’t take for granted. So I’m honoured and privileged to have achieved this.”
Kingdom Osayi’s exceptional journey in the NPFL serves as an inspiring testament to the power of faith and dedication, as he continues to shine between the sticks for Doma United, both in terms of crucial saves and unexpected assists.
His story is a true reflection of unwavering commitment and divine support in the world of football.
