Minister of Youth and Sports Development, Sunday Dare has urged the Nigerian U-20 team popularly known as the Flying Eagles not to disappoint, as they aim to make the country proud in the WAFU tournament set to commence on Saturday in Cotonou, Benin Republic.
While Speaking during his visit in Abuja in the team’s training, the Minister said, “The Flying Eagles have always made us proud, go there and make Nigerians proud. We believe you are young, talented and determined. Your coaches have impacted much on you, go there and come back victorious”.
The Flying Eagles of Nigeria commences their quest to win the WAFU Tournament in Benin Republic with their first game against Cote d’Ivoire this Sunday.
The team is set to depart for Benin Republic on Friday (Tomorrow).
