Thirteen years ago, when I decided to start my very first business, I practically had no money. I had a noble cause (To raise wealthy men and women …); I was willing to live and die for it, and felt that I mustn’t allow the availability or unavailability of money to deter me.
As I sat down to plan, I asked myself, “What do I need to kick start my business?” I itemized everything I needed and it boiled down to approaching a business centre owner to help me with all the designs and other stuff I needed. I summoned courage and approached him to provide the services I needed from him.
I never for once told him I had no more to pay for his services at that moment. And to my greatest amazement, he didn’t ask me to make any down payments. He just went ahead did everything I ordered for and later gave me the bill. I collected everything from him and told him I would come back to pay him his money soon, and he graciously accepted. To cut the long story short, I started my business and went back later to pay him.
This experience taught me a vital life lesson: Many of us have dreams and aspirations that we want to start, but we allow ourselves to be stopped by a lack or insufficiency of cash. But we must realize that in actualizing our dreams, money is not everything. If you can think very well, there’s always a way. I could have allowed a lack of cash to stop me from starting my first business; but I didn’t. I chose to make the necessary moves and trusted God to provide the money as I went along.
Do you have Dreams, Projects, Businesses, etc. that you’re yet to start simply because there is ‘NO MONEY?’ Here’s a warning to you: “If you don’t start NOW with what you have, you may never see the dream/project/business realized.” Why not begin to take baby steps now towards achieving that dream, and then trust God to provide all the other resources as you go along?
You can’t afford to stall no more because you’re yet to have the resources needed to start. Time is going!!! And before you know it, it’s December 31st 2019. You have just one attempt at life; Give it your Best Shot, by STARTING YOUR DREAMS NOW!!!
