The management of Shooting Stars Sports Club (3SC) of Ibadan, has lifted the suspension slammed on their Camp Commandant, Awwalu Mohammed.
The management of the Oluyole Warriors had placed Awwalu on suspension, as a punishment for his ungentlemanly behaviour against match officials during the team’s Olubadan Cup semi-final tie against Via Academy.
However, after a thorough investigation into his alleged attack on a reporter named Tolulope Raymond of the Pensioners FM, during the same game, the club found him not guilty as there was no concrete evidence to prove the allegation.
“We promised to look into the allegation of the attack on a journalist by our Camp Commandant, Awwalu Mohammed and having done this, we found out that nothing like such happened.
“Based on this, the management has decided to clear Awwalu Mohammed as he was found not guilty of attacking any sports journalist.
“We maintain our stand that as a professional club, Shooting Stars would never condone any act of indiscipline from our staff, officials and players, and we would not hesitate to wield the big stick against anyone found wanting in this regard”.
