Nigerian international Gift Monday delivered a stellar performance in Costa Adeje Tenerife’s 2-0 triumph over Madrid CFF in the Spanish Liga F on Saturday.
Monday provided an assist for Maria Perez, who opened the scoring for the home team at the Football Field Adeje. Eleven minutes into the second half, Perez returned the favor, setting up Monday to double the lead.
The goal marked Monday’s eighth of the season, while her assist tally rose to three. She played for 82 minutes before being substituted for Belgium’s Jassina Blom. Meanwhile, her compatriot Rinsola Babajide was not in the squad for the match.
Costa Adeje Tenerife currently sits in sixth place on the league table with 23 points from 16 matches. Their next league fixture is an away game against Sevilla FC on February 2, 2024.
