Nigerian duo Gift Monday and Rinsola Babajide delivered standout performances as Tenerife secured a dominant 4-1 victory over Sevilla in the Spanish Primera División de la Liga de Fútbol Femenino.
Gift Monday opened the scoring in the 22nd minute, setting the tone for Tenerife’s commanding display. The Nigerian striker then turned provider just six minutes later, assisting Rinsola Babajide for a stunning strike to make it 2-0.

Tenerife continued to pile on the pressure, and Monday grabbed her second goal of the match in the 40th minute, with an assist from Guessan, giving the home side a comfortable 3-0 lead heading into the break.
Bicho added a fourth goal for Tenerife early in the second half, but Sevilla managed a consolation goal through Nazareth Martin in the 61st minute.
Both Monday and Babajide played crucial roles in Tenerife’s emphatic win, with Monday’s two goals and assist underlining her influence. 
Babajide, who has been left out of the Super Falcons squad for the 2024 Olympic Games, strengthened her case for a return ahead of the Africa Women’s Cup of Nations (AWCON) with her brilliant performance.
