As the count, down to Qatar 2022, World Cup playoffs between Black Stars of Ghana and Super Eagles of Nigeria ticking and gathering momentum, the National President, Football Fans Club of Nigeria, FFCN, Ambassador Oluwakemi Ogunfuwa has implored members and Executives of the group across State Chapters to seek divine help towards landing Eagles the World Cup ticket.
This was contained in a release signed by the first Woman in Africa to be leading a Supporters’ Club, and made available to newsmen by the National Media Officer of the group, *Sunday Agunbiade* shortly after their church service on Sunday (today).
The release which reads in part has it that: ” I am pleased to inform all the Executives and entire members of this noble group that we shall all embark on three days fasting and prayers for our darling Super Eagles as they file out against Black Stars of Ghana. I have just left the church now and the spirit directed me that we should offer a special prayer for our dear Super Eagles before they step on Baba Yara Stadium, Kumasi on Friday”.
” The three days fasting and prayers will by the special grace of God begin on Monday (tomorrow) and end on Wednesday at 3p.m each day. I don’t want to say much on this so that people will not get it twisted or scared but we would all beckon to the Almighty God from tomorrow to give us a day ” said, the first CAF Award-winning Matriarch.
“We’re billed to storm Kumasi on Wednesday and mobilize Nigerian community living in Ghana just like we did in Egypt and Cameroon for the game. As much as we believe in intensive and tactical preparations, we do not underestimate the power of God in everything we do particularly in a decisive game like this”. Black Stars of Ghana hosts Super Eagles of Nigeria on Friday, March 25 at Babayara Stadium Kumasi and the reversed fixtures will hold on March,29 at MKO Abiola Stadium, Abuja.
