Ghana has been confirmed as the host of the maiden WAFU U17 Girls due for December, Sports247 reports.

The Ghana Football Association, GFA in a release on Wednesday disclosed that the competition will be staged at the Ghanaman Soccer Center of Excellence (GSCE) will host the 2024 WAFU Zone B U-17 Girls tournament, which will be held from December 12 to 26 2024.
The first ever edition will feature Ghana’s Black Maidens, Cote D’Ivoire, Benin, Nigeria, Burkina Faso, Niger and Togo.
The tournament will offer the players an opportunity to showcase their talent, build further teamwork, and experience the thrill of competition before they kick start their World Cup qualifiers.
Meanwhile, WAFU B has announced that draws for the competition is scheduled to take place in Abidjan, Cote D’Ivoire at 9:00 GMT on Friday, November 29, 2024.
Ghana’s Black Maidens and six other Countries will be pitched against each other in two Groups, A and B for what promises to be an exciting tournament but no details on seeded teams or format of the draws were revealed.
