Chairman of Kastina United Football club, Prince Abudulsamed Badamosi has shared his opinion on the renewal of the contract of the Super eagle’s coach Gernot Rohr.
He expressed his support for the German tactician as he is of the opinion that Rohr should continue till at least, after the world cup.
He also expressed how pleases he is on how the German brings in fresh and young legs into the team. According to the chairman,” about the Super eagles coach, I think the NFF should allow him to continue the good job he started. I think I am supporting him, I like the coach, he is doing his best, he is trying to bring youths to the team. They are giving the country their best.”
He emphasized the need to allow Rohr take charge of the Super eagles to the coming Nations Cup and the next World Cup. In the words of the chairman “When we should allow him and see what he can do in the next World Cup. So after the world cup, if we want to bring an indigenous coach, then we can do that.”
Before now, there have been some shifts in interest between the Nigerian Football Federation and the Nigerian chief coach as fresh conditions were given to him if he would like to continue as Nigeria’s coach.
In August 2016, Gernot Rohr was named manager of the Nigeria national football team by the Amaju Pinnick led Nigeria Football Federation and since then, he has done well. He lead Nigeria to the world cup which was the first African team to qualify to the 2018 World Cup.
