Head coach of Lobi Stats football club, Gbenga Ogunbote has disclosed that his players gave him his popular nick name, Oracle.
Gbenga Ogunbote has coached several club in the Nigerian Professional Football League.
The Oracle as he is fondly called was guest on the Family United by Football WhatsApp platform where he disclosed this.
“I was with Sunshine Stars of Akure, it was my first experience on the continent. The players and I had good player-coach rapport and they realized what ever I asked them to do on the pitch gave us our wanted result. So, someone just said no, this man is an oracle and that is how the name stuck.”
Ogunbote was head coach of Sunshine Stars of Akure in 2012 before moving on to coach Shooting Stars for 4 years.
