Gbenga Ogunbote, the technical adviser for Shooting Stars, has declared that he would leave the team after his contract expires.
Following Shooting Stars‘ final game on Sunday at Lekan Salami Stadium in Ibadan versus Sporting Lagos, Ogunbote made the news.
Shooting Stars defeated the modest club 1-0 in the game.
Ogunbote also disclosed that discussions for an extension have taken place.
He informed the media, “As I speak with you, my contract will expire at the end of the game against Sporting Lagos.”
“We say the Shooting Stars season is over, but they are talking about a contract extension and bringing on offers until we get to a conclusive aspect of it.”
Ogunbote rejoined the Oluyole Warriors for a second spell in 2022.
Shooting Stars finished in fourth position on the NPFL table in the just concluded season.
