The management of Gateway United FC of Ogun State has appealed to the teeming fans of the club not to lose hope in the team especially in its mission to securing topflight league ticket after a 2-3 home loss to Nnewi United in NNL matchday three, sports247.ng reports
The management led by the Acting General Manager Mr Niyi Soleye expressed displeasure with the poor result while appreciating the fans for their concern but urged them not to give up on the team as all hands are on deck to turn things around.
“We apologise to our fans and supporters for our inability to pick maximum three points against Nnewi United in the match day three encounter of the 2018/2019 Nigeria National League season.
“No stone will be left unturned at ensuring that the elusive topflight ticket is secured this season. We shall return to the drawing board to work on our lapses and we assure you that there shall vast improvement in our subsequent games”
“Therefore, we shall not take your support and patience for granted. We shall do everything within our power to ensure that your darling Gateway United fly again”
