Flying Eagles and Enyimba defender, Valentine Ozornwafor is attracting the interest of Turkish Super Lig giant, Galatasaray, Sports 247 can confirm.
Ozornwafor was part of the CAF Team of the tournament at the 2019 Africa Youth Championship in Niamey, Niger Republic alongside team captain and club teammate Ikouwem Udoh – where the Nigeria U20 team finished fourth.
After the tournament he was called-up to the national team camp by coach Gernot Rohr for the matches against Seychelles and Egypt. He also featured as Nigeria beat Libya 4-0 to qualify for the next round of the U23 AFCON qualifier.
A source in the camp of Enyimba revealed that the defender is Galatasaray bound but that the People’s Elephant will prefer to sell him after the U20 World Youth Championship if the price is right.
”Valentine will likely move to Europe soon. We won’t stop him but the fee has to match what we think he is worth.
”On our part we will like him to move after the World Youth Championship as that will aid his development further.”
This is great news for the Aba giant as left back Ikouwem just signed for Israeli’s side Maccabi Haifa after his impressive performance for the Flying Eagles.
