Gaibayo Sports, led by FIFA-licensed agent Gabriel A. Akande, proudly announces the launch of the GAS (Gaibayo Advanced Scouting) Program, set to take place from April 28–30, 2025, at the historic Mobolaji Johnson Arena (Onikan Stadium), Lagos.
This landmark event will feature official scouts from Sporting Clube de Portugal (Sporting CP) — João Henrique Correia, Pedro Ilharco, and Rui Fernandes — representing one of Europe’s most prestigious football clubs, renowned for producing global icons such as Cristiano Ronaldo and Luís Figo.

The GAS Program is designed to offer talented young athletes an unprecedented platform for international exposure, elite training opportunities, and professional career advancement. Selected players will have a pathway to join world-class football programs and take the next significant step in their professional journeys

Through the GAS Program, we are creating a direct bridge from the grassroots to the global stage, giving young talents the chance to dream bigger, work harder, and achieve greatness,” said Gabriel A. Eight outstanding teams, who emerged from a rigorous pre-scouting tournament held earlier in January, will participate in this program. These teams are Box2Box FC, Oasis FC, Jumez FC, Kazim Eletu FC, Seamoriow FC, FC Bethel Sporting Club, G12 FC, and Vido99 FC.
The GAS initiative represents a major opportunity to unearth the next generation of Nigerian football superstars — following in the footsteps of legends like Victor Osimhen, Jay-Jay Okocha, and Rasheed Yekini.
