The Duo of Dr. Ken Gadaffi and Coach Johnbull Onome has commended Coaches and Managers of the Niger Delta Coaches South-South Championship as 16 teams emerge after first round of matches at Ughelli.
The Tournament which is Jointly organized by KG Sports Foundation Agbor and Excellent Sports Plaza Ughelli brought together 32 Teams from around Delta State, Bayelsa State, and Edo State. The Matches has been highly entertaining and competitive to the delight of the organizers and fans around.
“It’s been a great one week of football here in Ughelli and l really want to commend all the teams for their commitment and sportsmanship displayed so far, with Tournaments like this l am sure Nigerian football will rise again” Dr Ken Gadaffi, Director of KG Sports Academy Agbor opined.
“We Cannot continue to wait for the State FA or NFF to organize competitions for our Grassroots teams, we took this initiative to get the players more active and it’s a good hunting ground for scouts to discover talents” Coach Johnbull Onome stated.
Dr Ken Gadaffi however called on Corporate and Philanthropic Organizations to support this type of event as it will help motivate players and Clubs.
“I Hope Corporate organizations and private individuals will come our to support these initiatives as it will help clubs and players to develop, most teams have to travel long distances, lodge the players and pay for food which is not easy for small teams without Sponsors. I call on Corporate and private individuals to identify with the Tournament or at least support some of the teams” Dr Ken Gadaffi who is Expert Adviser to the Olympic Committee or Cambodia admonished
