Former Akwa United of Uyo striker, Gabriel Okechukwu is set to be unveiled this weekend by his new club, Rapide Oued Zem of Morocco.
Sports247.ng gathered that Okechukwu moved during the week to Oued Zem on loan from one of the North Afircan country’s giant clubs, Wydad Athletic Club, where he failed to shine.
The 2018 Championship of African Nations (CHAN) revelation moved to his new base at The Rapids on Thursday and hopes to confirm his switch with a formal unveiling ceremony within the next hours.
It is a chance for revival by the 23-year-old Okechukwu, who struggled for form after his arrival at Wydad in August.
He is expected to attend Oued Zem’s league game on Saturday against Olympique Khoribga.
