Humphrey “Gabe” Gabriel’s Taiwan Beer Leopards returned to Taiwan on Tuesday after their invitational friendly against Kumamoto Volters in Kumamoto Japan. The leopards lost narrowly 75-70 in the encounter with the Nigerian dropping 19 points.
The Taiwan Beer sensation will go straight into the Cross League Tournament on Wednesday as the Bears face off fellow SBL side Changhwa BLL.
Taiwan Beer will lock horns against
NCCU (Chengchi University)
On Thursday and round up on Friday against
Dreamer/ Pilots Team.
The Cross League consists of 7 teams after the Taiwan National Team pulled out at the last minute due to other international engagements.
Gabe will be looking to avenge the loses Taiwan Beer suffered in the 2022 Cross League where they were unable to record any victory in their opening 6 games.
“I can’t wait to get onto the court, last year was a miserable one for us in the Cross League as we couldn’t win any match so we really want to do better now” Gabe said.
The Cross League consists of teams from the three tiers of Taiwan Basketball Leagues, The T1, PLeague and SBL.
