Gaa-Akanbi Football Club of Ilorin has thrown its support behind Boluwatife Ajina to continue his impressive goal-scoring form after his decisive strike secured ABS Ilorin FC a 1-0 victory over Gateway FC in Matchday 10 of the Nigeria National League.
The thrilling encounter took place at the Rashidi Yekini Main Bowl of the George Innih Stadium, Ilorin, Kwara State, on Saturday.
Ajina found the back of the net in the 9th minute, breaking his goal drought in the league and marking his third consecutive game with a goal across different competitions.
Notably, the Gaa-Akanbi FC product had earlier scored in the final of the 2025 Kwara FA Federation Cup against Kwara United. His recent form earned him the Man of the Match award for his crucial goal against Festus Allen’s Gateway FC.
Gaa-Akanbi FC head coach, Abolarinwa Bashir, who was present in the stands, expressed his delight at Ajina’s performance. He emphasized that such achievements would motivate the club to discover and develop more talents for top-tier teams.
“I’m delighted to see one of my players doing tremendously well. This will spur us to discover more talents for bigger clubs to nurture them,” Coach Bashir stated.
With his current form, Ajina is proving to be a rising star, and his club is confident he will continue to shine on the big stage.
