Team 360 FC coach, Ola Raji has said that his team wants to fight for the Fusion Football Championship title as well as make the Super Four following the nervy 3-2 win against North York FC yesterday.
They picked up a much needed victory in the third game of the Fusion League after the heartbreak in thier last game to get themselves up in the running for the Fusion Football Championship 3.0 edition at Surulere Legacy pitch.
“It’s been a wonderful experience for my very youthful side because they are just having a taste of the league games and I’m very happy that they are gradually knowing and understanding the competition,” Ola revealed in his post match interview with Sports247.ng after the game.
“The development of individual players and the three points is at stake for us every game as we hope that they do better everyday and also more in every games.”
“We weren’t good before halftime as we were down by two goals and before we came back for the second half, I made them understand that they are playing a very matured side because in the 2.0 of the Fusion League, they defeated us by a lone goal,” he explained of his team’s comeback to the game after a slothful first half start.
“Now coming to the 3.0 of the Fusion League, I try as much as possible to watch thier match against Sporting FA which I was able to see what they can do.”
“Then, we went back to the drawing board and designed our game plan. You can see that tactically, we were able to match them one on one despite thier maturity.”
He further admitted that complacency came in and that was why they conceded two early goals but he believes that gradually because they are still inexperienced, they will get there.
“As a coach, I’m putting this victory behind me, I’m already going to work towards the matchday 4, the celebration has ended today, we go back to the drawing board and watch the boys mistakes, look at our opponent and work towards the next game” he allayed ahead of their next game.
“We are working to be champions of the league and also be part of the super four at the end of the championship.”
