Fusion Football Championship: Obi Jerry’s Sublime Last Minute Free-kick Hands Fabian FC Narrow Victory Against GSC FC

Obi Jerry was on the rescue to hand his side Fabian FC maximum three points in the nervy encounter against GSC FC as his last minute sublime free-kick ensured that they return back home with the big win on matchday three of the Fusion Football Championship.

The midfielder curled a beauty at the top right hand corner far beyond the reach of GSC FC goalkeeper to earn a narrow 0-1 victory at the Surulere Legacy pitch.

“We should have closed the game up right from the very first half because we missed a couple of chances but thankfully we were able to convert one which gave us the victory,” he stated in his post game reactions with Sports247.ng.

“So by next time, I hope we can make it easier for the team by converting our chances early enough.”

“The way we line up for the free-kick is a routine training pattern and it works differently for each taker of the set pieces, so the one I scored is from my spot. We practice it all the time and today we were able to put it in action”.

“This victory means a lot to us because we needed the three points after we dropped two points in the last game. We now have our first three points in the league, so from here, we can keep going and wining.”
