Golden Heritage FC coach, Isaac Siasia has lauded his team’s tough spirit following thier nervy win against Sporting FA on matchday three of the Fusion Football Championship.
Isaac Siasia held on to a 2-1 victory at the Surulere Legacy pitch against a determined Sporting FA who toiled for an equalizer to coup all maximum three points going into matchday four, Sports247.ng reports.
“They are a very good side, right from the beginning, I said the first team were a very good side and when we came back for the next game, it wasn’t easy either,” Siasia said of his opponent after the game.
“The management has been working so hard and likewise the team while other teams are getting the points as the league table takes shape but overall, we played a good side and we got the opportunity early enough to score and we took it.”
“The opponent came to get the win and they got a goal but we needed to re-adjust for us to protect the lead and thankfully, we were able to contain thier fight and defend our lead.”
Ahead of the next game, he stated that his side will take each game one after the other.
“We are going back to prepare hard. We have a lot of injury setbacks as some of our players are in the national team but it doesn’t matter, we are going to keep working until we get to the end of the season.”
