G12 has finally gotten a breather following their big win against SGH Sports Academy on matchday three of the Fusion Football Championship at the Surulere Legacy pitch to record their first league win.
Having not won any game since the beginning of the Fusion Football Championship 3.0, G12 picked their first win in style as they defeated SGH Sports Academy with a 5-2 scoreline, Sports247.ng writes.
“This victory means a lot to me because this is our third game and we have previously lost two before this big win so, it means a lot to me and the boys.” said Coach Thomas Oluwafemi, G12 Head Coach.
“For the beginning of the league, we tried to put the new players but it didn’t work well. We just made few changes today and they worked out well for me.”
On if he’s under pressure to deliver – “I’m not under pressure at all but I know the team will be among the top three finishers of this tournament.”
“I know the fans are expecting a lot from us because this isn’t how we were and you can see that many of them aren’t here because we have lost two games back to back but I’m very impressed with how far the boys have come,” he lauded.
