Led by a Ayinde Olamilekan hat-trick, B.E Arena defeated FC L-Mirado 4-1 on Sunday to record just their second win of the 2021 Fusion Football Championship campaign.
The win means B.E Arena FC have seven points from six matches after a struggling start to the league season.
After the match, three-goal hero Olamilekan spoke with Sports247 on his match heroics. The forward said:
“I feel very special, very emotional. I’ve had it in mind before that today’s game I want to get a hat trick and we want to take the three points home.
“I believed in myself that I am going to do it. I should have scored one more goal but unfortunately, I missed the last chance. I hope to do more in the next game.”
Olamilekan concluded: “We have been working hard towards this victory, training day in day out. The coach was really encouraging us to fight to get these three points. We really work hard and we deserve the three points. We should have scored more than the four goals but unfortunately, we missed some chances. I am very happy for the victory and the three goals.”
