B.E Arena FC manager Brown Ayodeji has admitted his disappointment following his side’s 4-0 loss to Box2Box FC in the Fusion Football Championship on Wednesday.
In their first game of the FFC season, B.E Arena were outclassed on the day with Box2Box going home with three points.
Brown highlighted the inexperience of his team as a reason for the defeat and he also praised the opposition side.
Speaking after the match, he told Sports247: “When you lose 4-0 you will not be happy. We were playing a good side which is Box2Box. Everybody knows them and they are a good technical team.
“We are trying to do what they have done. We are coming up so we are not expected to win them easily. We are just starting, we are building a team. We’ll go back to our drawing board and make some corrections then we’ll see in our next game. It will be better. We are coming out strong.”
Despite the opening day setback, Brown is confident that his side can turn things around to compete in the top positions in the league season.
“This is our first time playing in the league and you know the league is different from the competition and it’s different from scouting programs. With the experience, our target is to at least be in the top three. To be in the top three would be a good achievement for us.”
