Arinze Christian was the game winner in the clash between Divine Praise FC and G12 FC as the impactful substitute scored a sublime goal in the dying minutes to hand Divine Praise the maximum three points at the Fusion Football Championship.
It was the fourth game of the second week of the Fusion Football Championship resumption and also first victory recorded as Divine Praise defeated G12 with a 2-1 scoreline.
The match changer and the wining goal scorer, Arinze Christian in his post game pressers with Sports247.ng admitted that it was a privilege that he’s the subject of his team’s victory especially coming into the team as a new player and getting in as a substitute to score the winner is absolutely overwhelming.
“I appreciate my teammates and the coach, management for their motivation and support, they believed in me and know what I can do.”
“Now, I need to work more harder to give my best because this is my first official match with the team and I believe that I can still give more to the team.”
“When my team lost the penalty, I just sat there on the bench. For penalty, anyone can score and miss as well as it is a game of luck,” he explained in defense of his teammate who lost the spot kick.
On what he has in mind for himself, “I still have more to learn and more to give. As I give more to the team, I know I’m progressing and this will bring greater opportunities to me as I look ahead to what’s next in store for me,” he concluded.
