Former Super Eagles midfielder, Edema Fuludu has opined that one of the ways through which the Nigerian team can win next year’s Africa Cup of Nations is by the coach allowing new players feature in the team.
Fuludu said in a chat with sports247.ng that new faces are needed to add variety and competition for shirts inn the team heading into AFCON 2019.
Consequently, Fuludu urged the national team handlers to give room for more rookies to be seen between now when they are expected to name their final squad for the Nations Cup next year.
Fuludu argued: “I am looking forward to a situation in which the current squad is allowed to receive some new players to add bite to the team.
“Some people are talking about keeping a winning team, but there’re no perfect teams in the world.
“That’s why I advocate for opportunities to be given new faces in the team, especially in case there might be injury concerns before the Nations Cup next year.”
