FUBS Mourns Departed Members

Frontline online sports platform Family United By Sports(FUBS) is mourning the death of two of its members in the month of April.

Alhaji Abdullahi Saidu, President of the Taekwondo Federation of Nigeria(TFN)and Alhaji Tade Azeez, a former President of the Nigeria Referees’ Association(NRA) both prominent members of the group passed on recently. Alhaji Abdullahi Saidu died on April 1 while Alhaji Tade Azeez’s sad event happened on April 25.

The administrator of the group Godwin Enakhena said, in a statement, that both losses will be heavily felt in the Nigerian sports fraternity.

“The passing of Alhaji Saidu and Azeez are heavy losses for Nigerian sports at this time when it is experiencing a new lease of life through the National Sports Commission.

“Both deaths happened suddenly after illness, robbing Nigeria of two of her best sports brains at the time that she needs them the most.
“Our prayers are with their immediate families, friends and colleagues at this time. May God give them the fortitude to bear these huge losses,” Enakhena said.
