FUBS honors NFF first vice president, Barrister Seyi Akinwunmi, Hon Kunle Soname with humanitarian awards

First vice President of the Nigeria Football Federation, Barrister Seyi Akinwunmi and Bet9ja boss, Honourable Kunle Soname have been bestowed the Philanthropy and Humanitarian Service awards by a prominent sports Whatsapp group in Nigeria, Family United by Sport (FUBS).

NFF President, Amaju Pinnick received the Achievers Merit Award while five Sports Federation Presidents, Hon Daniel Igali (Wrestling), Sam Ocheho (Handball), Boye Oyerinde (Squash), Engineer Ahmadu Musa Kida (Basketball) and Barrister Frank Orbih (Badminton) received the Outstanding Leadership awards.

 

Information gathered by sports247.ng reveal that Barr Akinwumi who doubles as the Lagos State Football Association chairman was given the prestigious accolade in addition to a cheque of N500,000. 00 (Five Hundred Thousand Naira Only) by FUBS for his service to youths and his efforts towards ensuring that every child gets educated.

The short award ceremony took place at the closing ceremony of the Lagos state chapter of the Sports Writers Association of Nigeria (SWAN) Week at the Legacy pitch of the national stadium in Lagos.
