Charles Dodo provided an early lead for the Nigerian Police Force, but the FRSC rallied from behind with Aliyu and Chidera Nduka scoring in the 48th and 58th minutes, respectively, to secure the maximum points.

In the other Group ‘A’ clash, the Nigerian Correctional Service faced off against the Nigerian Immigration Service.
Ahmed Yakubu and Silas Maneh found the net in the 5th and 60th minutes, respectively, leading the Correctional Service team to the top of the standings on goal difference.
The Nasarawa State Agency for Youth Empowerment Scheme (NAYES) remained on standby during the first day of the competition.
Looking ahead, the Department of State Service (DSS) is set to compete against the Nigerian Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) in the Group B fixture on Sunday, January 7, 2024, at the Lafia City Stadium.
The Federal Fire Service will also face the National Drugs Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) in the other Group ‘B’ clash later in the day, with the Nigerian Army observing both matches on standby.
