Having started out as a goalkeeper for Greenwich Academy in England while also making appearances as a striker, his journey has been that of grit and determination after he quit football due to incessant injuries hence spurring the move into full-time coaching, Ayanshola Sabitu truly has a story to tell.

Sports247 had quite a handful of discussions with Coach Sab as fondly called as he revealed that he’s not interested in working with any top clubs in Nigeria and even the national team because he has a project that he can’t forfeit for anything.
“We are here to improve the player skills and also build up on their talent and we have a good plan for them so that they can be a good ambassador to the country”.

“This football club was established because of course, this is my field as a football coach and also as an ex-footballer, a goalkeeper and striker as well in England back in 2004/2007 for Greenwich Academy and I also finished my coaching course in 2008, I was combining both.”
“I was off early due to my incessant injuries and that’s why I went back to coaching so that I can improve myself and that’s why I’m a coach who aims to help and develop the players.”
“Right now, I don’t want any job, I prefer being on my own, training with boys, and working with the manager.”
“We want them to become somebody in future, great players at that and their parents have been supportive whenever we need equipments or for welfare in matches, camping, and competitions because we can’t expect money from the players.”
“We have a parent forum where all our grievances are made known and from there, we get the support they can render for the team, it’s been a good ride that I won’t forsake for anything”, he said assuredly.
