Head coach of Prince Kazeem Eletu FC, Gilles Hugon has explained that teamwork,determination and tactical discipline are the key factors that gave his team 3-1 victory over Best Young Talents, BYT FC in a friendly match played this afternoon at Agege Stadium, Lagos.
Hugon who was excited with the team’s performance told Journalists that his team played well and deserved to win their opponents.
“My players played better against their opponents. We are good and what helped us is the teamwork, determination and tactical discipline displayed by my players on the field of play. I congratulate them for this victory because they worked hard and got a good result,” he said.
Technical Director of Prince Kazeem Eletu FC, Alex Coppolani expressed happiness with the result saying that his boys have done a good job. He said his opponents are equally good but noted that his team were technically better and deserved the victory.
In his swift reaction, BYT coach, Seyi Charles Adegbenro said his team lost to their opponents as a result of some key players who were absent. He said their opponents capitalized on their weak defence which gave them victory.
“ It was a good match but our players did not play to expectations. I was disappointed with the result because I thought the game would have favoured us unfortunately we lost to better side,” he said.
Meanwhile the friendly match lived up to billing as Prince Kazeem Eletu opened the scoring through Morakinyo Ajadi in the 17th minutes.
Both teams were delighted to watch as fans enjoyed good display from both sides. The second goal came in the 42th minutes when Muiz Owolabi fired a shot to end the first half 2-0.
The BYT were better in the early second half as they controlled the game. Their effort was rewarded when Samson Ayelara reduced the tally.
Daniel Mbonu’s goal was all Prince Kazeem Eletu FC needed in the last minute to condemn their opponents to defeat.
