Remo Stars on Thursday, edged Shooting Stars Sports Club (3SC) of Ibadan 2-1, in a friendly match played at the Dipo Dina Stadium, Ijebu-Ode.
In the gruelling encounter, Remo Stars got the opener in the 8th minutes through Nduka Junior’s headwr off a corner kick.
The ovation that greeted the goal had hardly died down, when the Oluyole Warriors levelled up through Mohammed Mohammed.
The Ibadan soccer lords created numerous chances thereafter but could not hit the target, thus ending the first half in a stalemate.
Remo Stars regained their lead in the 65th minute, when their Ghananian import, Agbobeko Morgan curled in a free kick, taken from the edge of the box.
Every effort by 3SC to even scores did not materialise, till the referee blew the final whistle.
