Ibom Angels FC on Friday hosted Blessed Stars Football Academy U13 category to a friendly game at the Godswill Akpabio International Stadium (Nest of Champions).
The match was arranged to help determine the performance of the Ibom Angels players prior to their league resumption. The game kicked off around 12pm at the training pitch of the international stadium which is home to Akwa United F.C and Dakkada FC.
About 20 mins into the game the first goal was scored by Blessed Stars Football Academy striker Goodnews Otu who received a perfect through pass from Godwin Udosen and dribbled his way to a one on one with the Ibom Angels goalkeeper.
A second attempt was made again by Blessed Stars striker Goodnews Oto but was cut halfway to the net by Ibom Angels keeper.
Ibom Angels made an equalizer at almost 30 mins into the game when the referee awarded the ladies side with a free kick and its midfielder Precious netted the ball which earned them an equalizer.
The game ended 1-1 in a stalemate after serious weather conditions disrupted the match some minutes before the end of first half.
