Friendly: All Stars International Coach Relishes 3-1 Win Over Ajara All Stars

Head coach of All Stars International Football Club of Surulere, Agbai Mba has revealed the team’s victory over Ajara All Stars football club of Badagry in a friendly match played on Sunday morning at the Eagles Club football pitch, Surulere, Lagos.

All Stars International walloped Ajara All Stars 3-1 in a friendly game watched by friends, well-wishers, and football fans.
Mba who commended his players for their tactical discipline exhibited against their opponents boasted that his team deserved to win the pulsating friendly match.

“It was a tough game but I must commend my players for being disciplined on the field of play which gave us the victory. My players played to coach instructions and it really worked for us. It was a well-deserved victory and I congratulate them for the job well done,” he said.

Mba said All Stars International is back and ready to play more tough friendly games before this year runs out.
“We are planning to hit Port Novo to play All Stars of Benin Republic and it is going to be an international friendly game. We are using Ajara All Stars friendly game to start preparing ahead of Benin All Stars friendly match scheduled for early December,” he said.

In his own comment, Ajara All Stars coach, Steven Seyondegboe said both teams played good football but blamed his defenders for conceding early goals in the encounter.

He said his team would go back home and bounce back in their subsequent friendly matches.

Kunle Banwo opened the goal account in the 8th minute for All Stars International to send a warning signal to their opponents.
Victor Ominu who was at his best compounded their opponent’s woe by scoring the second goal in the 28th minute and took the game away from their opponents.

Former Super Eagles player, Victor Agali missed some scoring chances for Ajara All Stars before Samuel Kwazema scored the third goal 45 minutes before halftime ended.

The second half was not too impressive as both teams appeared tired. Although the Ajara All Stars were making a frantic effort their effort was rewarded as they got a penalty and quickly converted by Agali to end the game 3-1 in favor of All Stars International.
