Franklin Oluwasegun Currie Joins Sulaimon Adeguwa, Alayeluwa Oba, Dr. Lawal Lateef, and CAN Leaders At Special Prayer In Ijebuland

On January 3, 2025, Franklin Oluwasegun Currie, popularly known as KIRAA, joined other distinguished personalities at the residence of Sulaimon Adeguwa, the Asiwaju of Ijebuland, for a special gathering.

The Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) visited Adeguwa’s residence to offer prayers for the New Year, highlighting their dedication to spiritual guidance and community development.

Alayeluwa Oba (Barr) Sikiru Kayode Adefuape Okuribido Dagburewe Of Idowa, announced during the event the conferment of the honorary title of BabaOba of Ijebu Idowa on Sulaimon Adeguwa.

This prestigious title reflects Adeguwa’s significant contributions to the progress and unity of Ijebu Idowa. Alayeluwa Oba, who has been a beacon of leadership, is also set to celebrate the first anniversary of his coronation later this year, marking a noteworthy milestone in his kingship.

Among the attendees was Dr. Lawal Lateef Temitayo Aramide, a former Permanent Secretary of the Lagos State Primary Healthcare Board. His presence lent additional significance to the occasion, emphasizing the event’s broad appeal to leaders across various fields.

Franklin Oluwasegun Currie, founder of KIRAA Football and KIRAA Football Academy, shared his excitement and gratitude for being part of the celebration.

“This is a great privilege to be at this event. I must congratulate Alayeluwa Oba, our BabaOba, and everyone present here. What a way to start the year, and this is also my great New Year message to our football community,” Currie remarked.

Currie, who also serves as the chairman and CEO of KIRAA TV and KIRAA Farm, emphasized the importance of community gatherings in fostering unity, cultural pride, and progress.

The prayer visit and the announcement of the BabaOba title for Ijebu Idowa marked a profound start to 2025 for the Ijebuland community.

The event underscored the values of leadership, collaboration, and cultural heritage as essential elements for driving sustainable development and unity in the region.
